Say what? Is it popular? What is it? Since opening in 2013 we have produced over 1 million ounces of this popular "dessert" beer. Its made with select European grains, cream, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. For kicks we top the rim of the glass with sugar and add powdered chocolate to the top.
So how do I get this? Its available in cans throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, Panhandle Florida and New Jersey but the brewery is the best location to get this delectable dessert. We also make variations only at the brewery like Chocolate Cherry Cordial and Chocolate Orange.
The idea to open a brewery started all the way back in 1988 while Rich our Master Brewer was home brewing and attending the University of Connecticut at Storrs. 20+ plus years later after getting an MBA on opening and running a brewery and a mid-life crisis, the brewery was born in 2013 with lots of help from friends and family.
Over the past 4 years the brewery has built a reputation as a "go-to" contract brewery for popular breweries like Fat Orange Cat, Greater Good, Pies and Pints, Pioneer, Shakesbeer and Boondoggle. We know how to take a brewer's idea and specifications and turn into great beer.
Shebeen is on the cutting edge of experimenting and creating all sorts of fun concoctions from a Cucumber Wasabi to New England IPA's. We've also brewed some amazing traditional style beers like a Polish Pilsner for 2 professional soccer teams. We have some amazing and loyal patrons including our "brat pack" of volunteers, staff and employees that make the brewery run on a daily basis.
We package and sell beer to go in our 13 tap Bar along with Crazy Cock Cider and select wines and spirits. Hungry? No problem. We also sell assorted cheeses, nuts, jerky, sandwiches, pretzels while you enjoy a flight or one of your favorite pints. Also ask about our Mug Club annual membership and how to rent the brewery for your next event. We are pet friendly and fully handicap accessible.
